Tango
Tango is a curated library for Raizes Player, built upon a foundational trio of bandoneón, violin, and double bass. While rooted in the history of the Río de la Plata, this collection is designed for the modern producer.
By blending raw, organic performances from seasoned session musicians with experimental sound design, we’ve created a toolkit tailored for cinematic scores, dramatic underscore, and contemporary textural production.

About the library
Tango is a genre defined by its distinct emotional depth, born in the late 1880s in the bustling ports of the Río de la Plata. It is a style that carries the soul of Argentina and Uruguay, giving the region its unique musical identity and character.
For this instrument, we wanted to capture that raw, authentic spirit. We invited three exceptional professional musicians into the studio to record the foundational trio of the genre: the bandoneón, the violin, and the double bass.
However, our approach for this library goes beyond traditional arrangements. Once we captured the high-fidelity, organic performances of these instruments, we focused on sound design. We processed the source material to reveal hidden layers, creating a suite of modern, cinematic, and ambient presets. The result is a toolkit that maintains the DNA of the original instruments but transforms them into textures designed specifically for contemporary scoring, dramatic soundscapes, and experimental production.
