On April 4, 2022, we introduced improved features to our plugins:
- We added Apple Silicon Native Support.
- Fixed some internal bugs.
- We removed the installers; now, you can easily install the plugin manually for better convenience.
- Now it is possible to move the instrument files (where are the samples) to an external drive and thus optimize space.
To update the plugins, you have to follow these steps:
- Uninstall the old plugin. On Windows, press Win key + I to open the control panel, go to applications and uninstall all our plugins. On macOS, simply go to Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Component and delete the plugins.
- To ensure the DAW doesn’t interfere with the new version, open your DAW and scan the plugin list (if it doesn’t do it automatically) to ensure it removes the plugins from the list.
- Go to the download section in your ZAK Sound account and follow the steps (macOS instructions / Windows instructions) to install the new plugin. Remember to put the license key back if it is a paid plugin.
Attention: The DAW will detect it as a new plugin because the code of the plugins was changed. Therefore, if you had projects created with our plugins, write down the settings in a notepad (or somewhere) and then load the plugin again.
